(PLEASE watch the video through that link. It’s insanely higher quality. You’ll get more out of it. It is IN FACT better quality than YouTube’s “watch in high quality” link. It might not work in IE though.)
This is from episode 64 (Recoome Unleashed) of the Dragon Ball Z Season 2 Remastered Set, part 2 of 2. After Vegeta killed Guldo, Recoome was up next. Vegeta fights him with the best of his ability.
The following is restated information in all my videos from the first 1.8 Seasons of the DBZ Remastered Sets. I ONLY ASK YOU READ IT ONCE!

FUNimation originally did not dub the first 2.5 Sagas (Vegeta Saga, Namek Saga, and half of the Captain Ginyu Saga). They only got around to it much later but by then, they fired Bruce Faulconer who made the music for DBZ. The reason was because he simply wouldn’t change his style of music for Dragon Ball GT which makes perfect sense. A musician doesn’t do shit like that, especially when he writes the best music for any show in existence. The point is, instead, FUNimation had to create other music and it SUCKED! Therefore, I decided to use the Japanese music for scenes before Faulconer came into the picture. Besides, the Japanese music is good until that point. The problem with it is that it starts getting repetitive. It also matches less and less as the show progresses. It eventually makes no sense and theme music is annihilated considering the same songs are used for every “evil” character, as an example.
These DVDs are amazing quality! It completely changed my perception of the beginning of Dragon Ball Z because of the picture & redubs. It’s like a completely new experience.

All of the Dragon Ball Z Remastered Sets were captured in 1080p High Definition (widescreen) and put on DVDs. It was brought down to 480p when transferred to the DVDs but it doesn’t matter. It doesn’t change the detail of the capture. Since the film was made in 480p anyway, manually upscaling the DVDs to 1080p is no different than FUNimation’s upscaled capture. These sets are uncut with an additional audio track of 5.1 surround, containing the original Japanese BGM. It’s also in the original framerate (24 fps) & with the more natural, intended colors. Finally, it has the Japanese audio and Eng subtitles.
***I can upload more clips by request. Send me PMs of the scenes you want to see & I will consider them.
*I took the same frame from the old & Remastered FUNi captures then combined them. I TOOK THE WORST CASE SCENARIO THAT THE WIDESCREEN CAN POSSIBLY DO! ABSOLUTE WORST!!! As an example, when Goku is turning Super Saiyan, it’s not cut like it is here because what’s being shown is from Goku’s upper body to his hair. What FUNi is able to do is make the capture a little higher & capture just as much of his hair. It actually looked better widescreen because Goku’s ears are seen, giving a completed feel. Now, here’s the link of that worst scenario…

*Also, the opening & ending to DBZ are almost in a perfect 4:3 format so they, they INDEED have a lot cut off. The quality difference is insane though. Have a look. The top link is from DRAGON BOX & the bottom is from the Remastered.

*Here’s just another comparison between Dragon Box & Season 1 Remastered. It’s very hard to tell which one looks better *rolls eyes*

*MOST IMPORTANT: Now that we’re done with this capture’s worst, look at how MOST OF THE REMASTERED was really cropped, as I have come to notice. Mostly, there isn’t THAT much cut from top & bottom; instead, more important details are shown on the sides.
